MOST domestic (U.S.) orders are shipped within 1-2 business days of receipt. Most folks who choose Ground Shipping receive their packages anywhere from 5-10 days from the time of placing their order.  The variable in time is due to whether the package is being shipped during a weekend or holiday, which adds several days to the process. It also matters how far of a distance the package needs to travel to get to its destination.

Although most orders are processed and shipped the same day or the next day, it may take longer if we are temporarily out of stock on certain items. If an item in your order is out of stock, we will try to contact you. We will tell you when the item will be available and give you the choice of waiting until the item becomes available to ship, removing the item from your order, or having your order shipped in two separate shipments. We will do everything we can to ensure that you receive your order as soon as possible.

Safe and Discrete shipping
We box all orders in non-descript, discrete packaging. We believe that our customers’ privacy is of the utmost importance. We have been shipping for years and we know how to ship our products to you in a safe and successful manner. We use copious amounts of tape on all corners and seals. We also make sure to tape up the bottle caps on any liquid products in order to further prevent any chance of spilling.

Different billing and shipping address
Due to the heavy level of credit card fraud, and a concern for our customers’ credit protection, it is our policy to verify all orders with different shipping and billing addresses prior to shipping.

Overnight / rushed shipping
Overnight and Second-Day shipping refers to the time after your package leaves our warehouse. We try our best to get same-day orders processed if the order arrives in time for processing. However, when selecting Next Day, 2nd Day or 3 Day shipping options, please be advised that these options are promised from the time of shipping, not from the time the order was submitted. Please understand that it takes time to receive the order, process the payment, pick your order from the warehouse, properly pack it in a box, label it and get it ready for shipping.

UPS picks up and delivers packages Monday through Friday only. This means that if you place an order and select 2nd Day Air as the shipping method, it will arrive 2 business days after the package has been picked up from our warehouse.

An example: if you place an order at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Standard time on a Wednesday, we will process and pack your order immediately, but UPS will probably have already picked up for the day, which means that your order will be picked up the following day, in this case, Thursday. Your package will take 2 business days to get to you, from Thursday, all day Friday and the following Monday. If Monday is a holiday, you would receive your package on Tuesday, almost a full week from the time you placed your order.

UPS – United Parcel Service
UPS picks up and delivers packages from Monday thru Friday, except for holidays. If you place an order on Friday afternoon, your order will not be processed until the following Monday. If you choose 2nd Day Air service, your order will arrive 2 business days after the order has been fulfilled. We will send you a tracking number as soon as your order has been shipped. If you’d like to track your package, you can log onto the UPS website at www.ups.com. UPS shipping costs are substantially higher when shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. Whenever possible we will provide a lower cost postal service option.

USPS The U.S. Postal Service
USPS picks up and delivers Monday through Saturday, except for holidays. Due to post 9/11 security concerns, most USPS (USPS Priority Mail and Parcel Post) packages are taking anywhere from 6 to 12 extra days for delivery in some areas due to the increased security required at airports and Post Offices. If you elect to have your order shipped via USPS, please allow for this extra time. Items shipped via USPS Priority Mail cannot be tracked. If you need to be able to track your package, please choose UPS as your shipping method. For more information, you can log onto the USPS website at www.usps.com. Orders sent USPS to Hawaii, Alaska, and all US Territories are not available for Express Shipping (2nd Day or Next Day Air).

Address Corrections
Additional charges may be applied if the delivery address you provide is incorrect or if the package needs to be forwarded to a different location due to an error in communicating the information to us. Don’t forget those apartments, suite and unit numbers and your daytime telephone number. We cannot be responsible for problems your order may encounter due to inaccuracies in the information you provide. Please be precise in the Shopping Cart!

Delivery Failures
Failure to receive, miss the delivery of, or refusal to accept your shipment does not relieve you from the shipping/handling incurred by your order and may not relieve you from the cost of the products shipped. If a box is returned for reasons such as “Not Deliverable” in three attempts and so on, we can re-ship the item to you for an additional shipping charge.

Shipping to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico & U.S. Territories
Orders shipped to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, and all US Territories are subject to shipping rates based on weight and destination. The price that shows up upon your checkout is only a quote. You will be emailed by customer service the next business day with a shipping rate for your approval prior to shipping. Orders sent USPS to Hawaii, Alaska, and all US Territories are not available for Express Shipping (2nd Day or Next Day Air).

UPS shipping costs are substantially higher when shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. Whenever possible we will provide a lower cost postal service option. If parts of your order are back-ordered, we will hold the order until we are able to fill all of it at once. Not all delivery options are available in all areas. Please contact our office by phone or email if you need us to make special shipping arrangements. We have several options to accommodate shipping to these areas.

When ordering an item that is normally shipped directly from the manufacturer, and we offer you a USPS option, we will first need to transport the goods to our warehouse so that we can ship to you via mail. The reason for this is very few manufacturers use mail service to make shipments. Please allow 7-10 business days for transit to our warehouse.


We offer a 15-day return on all brand new, unused and undamaged products when accompanied by a receipt and in the original packaging for IN STORE CREDIT ONLY. NO RETURNS ON BULBS. All bulbs are date coded for warranty purposes. The Grow Store guarantees your satisfaction for all items ordered online, ordered by telephone, or purchased in our stores. As stated in our return policy, the customer will be charged a 15% restocking fee and is responsible for the cost of shipping any returned items back to our store in Traverse City, MI. Items must arrive in brand new, saleable condition at our warehouse before the credit will be issued. Please consider getting insurance on the package — if it arrives damaged or does not arrive at all, we will not issue credit. Items not returned in new condition will not be accepted. All returns must have an RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization Number). When you call for an RMA number we will inquire as to your reason for return. Items without an RMA number will be returned to sender. To obtain an RMA number call 231-421-5191. All returns must be completed within 15 days of purchase.


Freight charges are not refundable on returns unless the company made a shipping error. The company reserves the right to inspect the product to determine if it’s damaged or not re-sellable and to issue credit conditionally.

Limited Return: We cannot accept returns on items that could have been tampered with such as nutrients, pH adjusters, cloning gels, beneficial insects, and pesticides.  Manufacturers that offer 100% money back refund are excluded from this policy.

Warranty Information
All warranties are given by the product manufacturer, only. The Grow Store accepts no responsibility or liability, expressed or otherwise for any manufacturer’s warranty. If you have a warranty issue, The Grow Store will facilitate the refund, but we will not issue money or product until the manufacture credits The Grow Store.  ALL WARRANTY PRODUCTS RETURNED MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY ORIGINAL PURCHASE RECEIPT.

Pallet Rates (Freight Service)
Since we offer soils, flood tables, Hydroton, and other large products they require freight service. If this is the case with your order, we will find the most economical means of getting it to you.  The freight service shipping option can be selected as a shipping method on your order, labeled “May Call With Additional Charges”. You will be contacted with the shipping fee after placing your order

Prices are subject to change.  Refer to the pallet price when you check out for the most accurate price. Additional time is required to package and transfer your pallet to your location so allow for an additional two days.

Shipping Charges
We charge a $2.99 handling charge on all purchases. This charge allows us to keep our prices low. It also allows us to pack your order with quality, environmentally friendly materials.

Please keep in mind that shipping costs are automatically calculated based on weight, distance, and the type of service you specify. However, costs may vary slightly from this original calculation, depending on your order, as some items are oversized and cost more to ship. In rare cases, this may mean a second, additional shipping charge added to your credit card. We will adjust your shipping costs accordingly when we process your order.
